The main object of the game remains the same, which is to get closer to 21 than the dealer gets without going over 21. In case player hand goes over 21, it means it busts (loses).

Card values:

• Picture (face) cards are valued as 10 points.
• Aces can have the value of either 11 or 1, it changes its value depending on the hand the player has to make it the best for him. Hands that have the Ace counted as 11 are called soft hands, and hands that count Ace as 1 as well as other hands without Aces are called Hard hands.
• All the small cards are valued according to the indicated number.

In order to take part in the game all players start with changing money for the chips. Players make the bets and dealer deals the cards. Each player receives two cards face up (in some variations the cards can be dealt facing down). While dealer cards are dealt one facing up and another facing down.
